Craig graduated from Miami Valley Career Technology Center in 1991 and went on to attend post-graduate training at the L'Oreal Institute of New York and Vidal Sassoon Academy in London. In 1995 at age 22, Craig opened the Affinity Salon on Far Hills Avenue in Dayton. The Affinity Salon has continued to grow and has been named in the top 200 salons by Salon Today Magazine for eight consecutive years. In 2004, Craig expanded his business (doubling its size) and now has a full service spa in addition to the beauty salon. Craig has received both national and international awards for his work in cosmetology.

Paula graduated from Stephan’s Pivot Point accredited academy and attended the Paul Mitchell Academy in New York. Having been affiliated with Aveda products and education since their inception, she is passionate about Aveda’s philosophy. She joined the Affinity team in March 2000. Paula has traveled and trained with other artists who work with major beauty manufactures and is certified in Bio Ionic KeraSmooth Treatment. Staying involved in her community, Paula provides editorial makeup and styling and volunteers for the American Cancer Society’s Look Good Feel Better program as well as for the Women’s Noble Circle annual fashion show. Sara graduated with a managing cosmetology license and has been a part of the Affinity team since 2000. Having a passion for cutting and coloring techniques and to stay current with latest trends, Sara attends local and national hair shows and classes. Some of the most recent education that Sara has taken part in include relaxation/beautification massage, Bio Ionic KeraSmooth Treatment, Paul Mitchell Color Systems, extensive Aveda hair color and hair cutting classes and OSHA Education and Salon Safety courses. In 2006, Sara decided to become an instructor. With a passion for educating and a desire to give back to the industry, she has been working hands on with students at a local cosmetology school and also educating fellow stylists and estheticians ever since. She is a creative, energetic, people person and aims to not only please every guest with a service, but create an experience they will not soon forget. David graduated from Miami Valley Career Technology Center with a cosmetology license and has been doing hair since 1996. A specialist in Redken, David has also attended classes at Jacques Dessange Academy NYC. He is certified in Great Lengths extensions, L’Oreal INOA hair color, Bio Ionic KeraSmooth Treatment and relaxation massage. Attending local and national hair shows is one way David continues his education along with staying current in all Aveda hair color and hair cutting techniques. Laci is a 2004 graduate of the Fredric’s Aveda Institute and has been an Affinity team member since 2005.
Laci’s work can be seen all over the Miami Valley on television, stage and in print. She is a regular stylist for many of the on-air personalities at WDTN-TV Channel 2. She has lent her talents to the national tours of many musicals including Oklahoma, 42nd Street, Legally Blonde, The Color Purple, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Annie and Wicked as they have visited the Dayton area. This winter and summer she continues her work with the Victoria Theatre Association as she is contracted to work in the on-stage productions of 9 to 5 and The Lion King.
Specializing in bridal styling, Laci’s work has been featured on The Knot.com and in local wedding magazines. If you do not have time to come to her on your big day, she will be more than happy to come on-site for your wedding or photo shoot to provide her top-notch services.
Laci is very active in the community, providing free hair cuts for under privileged students at local schools and thru the Project Day Maker initiative. She also strives to continue to improve her skills through the Aveda course catalogue. Laci has completed classes in Aveda Color, Aveda Deep Color, Aveda Advanced Hair Cutting and L’Oreal Inoa Color.

Lisa graduated in 1999 with her cosmetology license and joined the Affinity team in 2005. Since then, she regularly attends hair shows and continuing education classes to further her knowledge in the industry. Styling hair for WDTN on-air personalities, Lisa is certified in Bio Ionic KeraSmooth Treatment and specializes in short hair cuts, textured and curly hair, razor cutting and men’s cuts. Outside of the salon Lisa’s freelance work includes boudoir and wedding photography styling for Sandra Reed and onsite bridal party styling. Thriving on making people feel better, Lisa helps guests embrace change.

Emma graduated from Aveda Fredric’s Institute in Cincinnati with a cosmetology license. Since joining Affinity in November 2009 she works as a stylist and as the Education Director for the salon. Regularly attending hair shows to explore new trends and fashions, Emma also educates herself by attending a variety of Aveda hair color and haircutting classes. She is certified in Bio Ionic KeraSmooth Treatment and Bio Ionic Japanese Straightening. Having a passion for styling, Emma has been a part of many bridal expos, editorial styling for Parade Magazine and onsite weddings. Megan graduated with honors from the Aveda Institute Columbus in 2009 with a cosmetology license. While in Columbus she participated in styling and makeup for fashion shows, Crystal Black Photography and onsite bridal events. Megan was looking for a career to utilize her creativity, leadership and design execution when she found Affinity. Since coming to Affinity in 2009, Megan works as a stylist and is the salon Color Coach for Aveda hair color. She continues her education with certification in Bio Ionic KeraSmooth Treatment, L’Oreal INOA hair color, relaxation massage and many Aveda hair color and haircutting classes. Continuing her education in Aveda techniques and specialty spa services, Amanda works on site doing editorial makeup, wedding/special event styling, and stage work and has volunteered for Noble Women’s Circle.

Saundra graduated, with honors, from Aveda Fredric’s Institute as an esthetician and is certified in relaxation and wellness massage. Since coming to Affinity in 2008 as the in salon Spa Coach, she provides signature Aveda facial services. She designs and shapes brows, tints eye brows and lashes, provides hot stone massage and spray tanning, among many other services. Saundra continues her Aveda education in spa services and works extensively onsite doing professional makeup application for editorial shoots and wedding parties.
